Mr. Alexandros-Apostolos A. Boulogeorgos was born in Trikala, Greece. He received his Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma Degree (5 years) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2012, and he is currently working towards his PhD degree under the supervision of Professor George K. Karagiannidis. His dissertation concerns Interference mitigation techniques in future terrestrial and satellite mobile communication systems.
Mr. Boulogeorgos is a student member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and IEEE Communication Society. From 2010 to 2011, he served as vice chair of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch. From 2011 to 2013, he was the chair of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch. During his tenure, he was responsible for the organization of a large number of events (symposium, workshops, seminars, educational excursions e.t.c.). From early 2012, he is a member of the Committee responsible for organization of diverse academic events (http://seminars.ee.auth.gr) of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki, and a member of the Committee responsible for the celebration of the hundredth anniversary of the liberation of Thessaloniki. He is, also, a founding member of volunteers community (http://volunteers.ee.auth.gr), which contributes greatly to making easier the every day routine of the students in the Department.
